Are you interested in building a website for yourself and don´t know where to start?

We have decided to start the Dotbite Coding Club by doing our first course on Web Basics. This course is for absolute beginners and aims at sharing knowledge, connecting with like-minded people and having fun while learning the basics of HTML.

The course will be held in English. You don´t need any experience.

Your Tutor

Jamie, our amazing British team member at Dotbite, had the idea to share a bit of his knowledge and help people to have fun while learning. As a passionate coder & teacher, he is super excited to help you with your first steps.

What will happen in the course?

In the Thursday session, Jamie will teach you some web basics and help you create your first projects. You will need a laptop with you, drinks & snacks will be provided by us. To be able to try new things & practice your new skills, Jamie will give you little tasks to solve during the week inbetween the sessions.

What can you expect?

Learning new skills in web basics in a group of like-minded people, free drinks & a great teacher who really wants you to experience the fun at coding!

Outline of the course

Here´s an overview for you on the topics of this course:

  • Writing a simple web page with HTML
  • Styling web pages with CSS
  • Adding images, videos and links
  • Designing for all users and devices
  • Building a not-so-simple web site
  • Advanced styling techniques
  • Adding interactive elements
  • Organising and publishing your website
