Roughly one in four adults in Europe lives with some form of disability. On most commercial sites, a good share of them cannot complete a purchase. That was a business problem long before it was a legal one.
The European Accessibility Act has applied since June 2025 and covers a wide range of digital products and services sold to consumers in the EU. Where it applies, WCAG 2.2 at level AA is effectively the standard you are measured against. Penalties vary by member state, but the harder cost is usually remediation under time pressure after a complaint.
We start with an audit that tells you what actually fails, ranked by severity, with the fix described rather than just the rule quoted. Then we do the remediation. Semantic markup, keyboard navigation, focus handling, colour contrast, form labelling and screen reader behaviour, tested with real assistive technology instead of an automated checker alone.
Automated tools catch perhaps a third of real issues. The rest needs someone to navigate the thing with a keyboard and listen to what a screen reader announces. We build this into design and development from the start, which costs a fraction of retrofitting it.

Is accessibility legally required for our website?

What does an accessibility audit cost?
It is a defined piece of work with a fixed price, sized to how many templates and flows exist. You get a written report ranked by severity with the fix described, rather than a list of rule numbers. Remediation is scoped separately once the findings are clear.
How long does it take to become compliant?
The audit itself takes one to two weeks. Remediation depends entirely on what it finds. A site built with semantic markup often needs days, one built on div soup and custom widgets can take considerably longer.
Are automated accessibility checkers enough?
They catch roughly a third of real issues. The rest needs someone navigating with a keyboard and listening to what a screen reader announces. We test with actual assistive technology, because passing an automated scan and being usable are different things.
How do we stay compliant after the fixes?
