Good interface design is mostly the removal of decisions. Every choice a user has to make is a place they can hesitate, and hesitation is where people leave. The work is figuring out which choices are genuinely theirs to make and taking the rest off the screen.
We start with research rather than screens. Who uses this, what are they trying to finish, and what is in their way today. Often that surfaces a problem the brief did not mention, which is cheaper to hear at this point than after the build.
Then we design and test. Wireframes to settle structure, interface design once the structure holds, and usability sessions with the people you are building for. We watch where they hesitate and change the design rather than explaining it to them. An interface that needs explaining will need explaining to every user you ever get.
We hand over designs a developer can build from directly, with states, edge cases and responsive behaviour specified. Since we build as well, they are drawn by people who know what is expensive to implement. Accessibility is part of this work rather than a later audit.

What does UI/UX design cost?
It is priced on the actual scope, mainly how many screens exist and how much research the project needs. At Dotbite we scope that with you and quote a fixed price. Design that runs alongside ongoing development is usually covered by a framework agreement.
How long does the design phase take?
Two to six weeks for most projects, including research and usability sessions. Wireframes come first to settle structure, and the interface design only starts once that structure holds, because styling a flow that changes later wastes the most time.
Do you test designs with real users?
Yes, and it is where most of the value sits. We put a clickable version in front of the people you are building for and watch where they hesitate. Then we change the design instead of explaining it, because an interface that needs explaining needs it for every user.
