Dotbite

Cloud migration that keeps the business running

Off your hardware. Into the cloud. Without the outage.

We move companies off on-premise infrastructure onto AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or a hybrid setup. Planned in stages, with the critical systems running throughout. Based in Vienna, working with clients across Europe.

Zurich Insurance, epunkt and Asko trust us with their infrastructure.

Your Cloud Migration Partner in Vienna.

Every server you own is a cost that does not flex. When traffic spikes you are either over-provisioned and paying for headroom you never touch, or under-provisioned and watching the product buckle. When something breaks at 2am, somebody on your team is awake for it. When a patch drops, it becomes a project. None of that is the work your team should be doing.

Cloud infrastructure changes the shape of the problem. Resources follow demand. Provider SLAs replace your on-call rota. Security and compliance frameworks are maintained by people whose full-time job that is. And the capital cost of owning hardware turns into operational cost you can actually forecast.

We start with an assessment. Mapping dependencies, finding the parts that will fight the move, and defining the target architecture for your specific workloads. Then we sequence the migration so the risky pieces move when the business can absorb it and the critical ones keep running. The environment gets configured for performance, security and cost on the way in, rather than tuned later once the invoices arrive.

After the move we set up containers and pipelines so the new environment stays as clean as the day it launched.

What you get with Dotbite as your cloud migration partner

  • A staged plan. Services move in an order that keeps the business running throughout.
  • Dependencies mapped first. We find what will fight the move before we start moving.
  • Resources that follow demand. Pay for what you use, scale when you need to.
  • No more 2am server calls. Provider SLAs instead of your on-call rota.
  • GDPR-compliant architecture. Configured during the move, while the architecture is still open.
  • Pipelines and containers after. The new setup stays clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a cloud migration take?
A single application usually moves within a few weeks. A full environment with several systems, integrations and compliance requirements takes months, because the sequence matters more than the speed. At Dotbite we plan the stages so the critical systems keep running throughout.
What does a migration cost?
It is priced on the actual requirements, which depend on how many systems move and how entangled they are. We start with an assessment that maps dependencies and risks, and that assessment is what makes a reliable fixed price possible. Ongoing cloud operations afterwards run on a framework agreement or SLA.
Will there be downtime?
The plan is built to avoid it for the systems that matter. We move services in an order that keeps the business running, and where a short window is unavoidable we schedule it with you rather than discovering it on the day.
Which cloud is the right one?
It depends on your workload, your budget and where the data legally has to sit. AWS and Azure cover most enterprise cases, Hetzner is often far cheaper for predictable loads in Europe. We compare the realistic monthly cost for your case before recommending one.
What happens to our data and GDPR compliance?
Data residency is decided as part of the architecture, while everything is still open. We select regions and services so personal data stays in the EU where that is required, and we document the setup so it holds up to a data protection review.
