Dotbite

Software maintenance that catches problems before your users do

Monitored. Patched. Handled by the team that built it.

We keep products healthy after go-live. Continuous monitoring, scheduled security and dependency updates, and new features from developers who already know the codebase. Based in Vienna, working with clients across Europe.

Zurich Insurance, the Vienna Red Cross and whoranks rely on us long after launch.

Support and Software Maintenance from Vienna.

Launch day is the start of a product's real life. Everything that determines whether it is still good in three years happens after it.

Most software problems stay quiet for a while. A dependency falls behind. A security advisory goes unpatched. A query that was fine at ten thousand rows stops being fine at two million. By the time a user notices, the thing has usually been growing for weeks. Proactive maintenance is what stops that pattern from starting.

We watch the product continuously, so performance anomalies and error spikes reach us before they reach your users. Updates go out on a schedule, security patches, dependency upgrades and compatibility fixes, timed so they do not collide with your operations. And when something does break, the people responding already know the system instead of spending three days reading it.

The same standard we hold during development and testing applies here. If the product needs more than upkeep, we also handle new features and modernization.

What you get with Dotbite as your maintenance partner

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ongoing maintenance cost?
It is priced on what the application actually needs, which depends on its size, its traffic and how often it changes. At Dotbite this normally runs as a SLA (service level agreement) with an agreed monthly scope, so budgeting is predictable and bug fixing and updating do not each need a quote.
What is included in maintenance?
Monitoring of performance, uptime and error rates, security patches, dependency and framework upgrades, plus the small fixes that come up in daily use. We also flag what could be improved rather than only reporting what broke.
Do you maintain software someone else built?
Yes. We read the codebase first and give you an honest assessment, including anything that should be fixed before we take responsibility for it. If the system is in worse shape than expected, you hear that before signing rather than months later.
Our application runs fine, why pay for maintenance?
Because the risks build quietly. Dependencies fall out of support, security advisories go unpatched, and a query that was fast at ten thousand records is slow at two million. Maintenance is what stops those from becoming an outage at the worst possible moment.
What happens when something breaks?
The developers who respond already know your system, so there is no reading-in period before anyone can act. Response expectations are agreed in advance and written into the arrangement, matched to how critical the application is for your business.
