Dotbite

Startup consulting that comes from people who have built products

The technical co-founder you have not hired yet.

We work with founders who have an idea and no technical team behind them. Shaping the product, deciding what to build first, getting it live, and being the technical voice when investors start asking. Based in Vienna, working with clients across Europe.

upgr8, Boritea and qondition built their first product with us.

Startup Consulting in Vienna.

The early mistakes are the expensive ones. Building the wrong thing well. Choosing a stack that makes hiring hard. Spending the first round on features nobody asked for. None of these look like mistakes at the time, which is exactly the problem.

We work with founders in the stage where those calls get made. Sharpening what the product is and who it is for. Deciding the smallest version worth building. Choosing a stack you can hire against later. Then actually building the thing, because at this stage advice without delivery is not much use.

We also sit on the technical side of investor conversations. Due diligence questions, the architecture slide, and the honest answer to how long the roadmap really takes. Founders without a technical co-founder tend to feel that gap most in exactly those rooms.

The usual path runs through business modeling and prototyping into an MVP. If you need the technical leadership ongoing, that is CTO as a Service.

What you get with Dotbite as your startup partner

  • Product shaped before it is built. What it is, who it is for, what comes first.
  • A stack you can hire against. Chosen for year three, when the team has grown.
  • A first version that ships. Advice plus the hands to deliver it.
  • The technical voice for investors. Due diligence answered, roadmaps defended.
  • The commercial side too. Pricing and revenue model worked out.
  • Leadership if you need it. A CTO in the room until you hire one.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does startup consulting cost?
It depends on what you need, and early-stage budgets are usually tight. At Dotbite we scope small defined pieces where possible, so you can start with a concept or a prototype rather than committing to a full engagement before anything is validated.
How early should we talk to you?
Earlier than most founders do. The expensive mistakes happen before development starts, when the wrong thing gets scoped or a stack gets chosen that makes hiring hard later. A first conversation costs nothing and often saves a quarter.
We have no technical co-founder, does that work?
Yes, and it is the most common reason founders come to us. We cover the technical side, from deciding what to build first through to building it, and we sit in investor conversations where the technical questions come up.
Do you help with investor conversations?
Yes, on the technical side. Due diligence questions, the architecture slide and the honest answer to how long the roadmap really takes. Founders without a technical co-founder tend to feel that gap most in exactly those rooms.
At what stage do you work with startups?
From an idea that needs shaping through to a product that needs scaling. The work looks different at each stage, from concept and business modeling early on to MVP development and then a full build once the market has answered.
